What Is Bronze Granule

Our Bronze Granule is an environmentally friendly, strip-shaped oil-based copper gold powder. It is composed of copper, zinc, and aluminum, with a certain proportion of resin and solvent added.

The mixture is then extruded into bars using a compression molding machine and air-dried to become Gold Bars. The copper content ranges from 65% to 95%, zinc from 5% to 34%, and aluminum from 0% to 1%.

Bronze Granules address the dust-related concerns associated with the use of copper powder and are widely applied in the ink industry within oil-based systems.

  • Primarily used in oil-based systems
  • Key Advantages:
    • Dust-free nature
    • Rapid re-dissolution capabilities

How to Use Bronze granule

  1. Start by adding the copper-gold powder under slow stirring. Gradually add a solvent to the powder in fractions, using a ratio of 1:1 or 2:1 (solvent to powder).

  2. Stir at low shear force for about 15 minutes until the mixture becomes paste-like.

  3. Add the required amount of gold-tone oil and stir thoroughly to ensure uniform mixing.

  4. Adjust to the desired viscosity with a solvent.

  5. To prevent the flake-like particles of copper-gold powder from curling and breaking during dispersion, which would reduce the optical effect, it’s best to use a paddle stirrer or disc disperser at medium speed.

Ensuring Every Barrel of Bronze Granule is of High Quality

Prioritizing Quality: Rigorous Testing at Every Stage
  1. During the ball milling process, test the particle size, hue, and gloss every hour.
  2. In the polishing phase, test the brightness, hue, and particle size of the copper-gold powder in each transfer barrel, ensuring that the brightness and hue are consistent within the same batch.
  3. Mixing: For each batch of product, perform sample testing for brightness, hue, and particle size.

Packaging and Storage

Properly stored with a 3-month warranty period.

Storage Instructions for Bronze Granule
  1. Store the gold powder at room temperature and away from light for two years or more. Beyond this period, the brightness of the powder may decrease and turn yellow, affecting the printing quality.
  2. Gold bars solidified with resin should be stored for half a year. It is recommended that customers use them within three months, as they may become unusable due to denaturation after this period.
  3. Once made into ink, the quality is best within three months. After opening, ensure the lid is securely closed. Do not exceed 30% of old ink when mixing with new ink for use.
  4. Products with a particle size above 400 mesh are non-hazardous, while those below 400 mesh are flammable.
  5. Long-term storage may lead to settling, but the product can be used normally after stirring.
  6. The product performs best two to three months after production.
